Lauren Muller is rising on area high school girls golf leaderboards.

The Blue Springs senior fired an 80 Monday to earn a medal in the Liberty North Tournament at the par-72 Liberty Hills Country Club course.

The Wildcats shot 394 to finish seventh in the 18-team field. Blue Springs South (430) claimed 10th place, Grain Valley (434) was 11th and Lee’s Summit North (455) was 12th.

Muller’s 80 was good for third place. Teammate Sierra Heuston also medaled, shooting 91 to tie for 12th. Julianna Marshall (107) and Caroline Duvall (116) completed Blue Springs’ scoring.

“Lauren Muller played much better. So excited for her,” Blue Springs coach Jill Courter said.

Ayden Sackewitz shot 93 to tie for 17th and earn a medal while leading Blue Springs South.

Taylor Hileman shot 99 and Shelby Kimbrough carded a 103 to pace Grain Valley. Harrison Clemmons led Lee’s Summit North with a 108.

Lee’s Summit West, led by medalist McKenna Rice’s 76, won the team title with a 343 total.

NORTH KANSAS CITY 184, WILLIAM CHRISMAN 204: Abbie Chavarria fired a 44 to earn individual runner-up honors but it wasn’t enough to get past North Kansas City at the par-30 Drumm Farm Executive Course Tuesday.

Erica Figley shot 52 and Carrie Robinson and Zoe McConnell each posted 54 to complete the Bears’ card.

North Kansas City’s Kate Luedke shot 42 to earn medalist honors.
