The Blue Springs South girls tennis team had little trouble dispatching Suburban Big Six Conference foe Raymore-Peculiar in a 9-0 victory Thursday.

In singles play, No. 1 player Francesca Klosener won 10-3, No. 2 Khiara Cox won 10-5, Jasmine Tucker won 10-0, Grace Allen won 10-1, Peyton Caldwell won 10-6 and Ashley Cooper won 10-8.

In doubles play, the No. 1 tandem of Klosener and Allen won 8-4, Cox and Tucker won 8-3 and Cooper and Natalie Nelson won 8-2.

"We've been trying to find a No. 3 doubles combo that works for us, and we really liked what we saw from Natalie and Ashley tonight,” South coach Jake Estep said. “They're both young players that played a lot together over the summer and it showed tonight.”

South’s junior varsity also won 6-3.
