RAYTOWN SOUTH 4, GRAIN VALLEY 1: The Eagles fell to 7-6-2 overall and 5-4 in the Suburban Small Seven Conference after a loss to the Cardinals Thursday.

Joe Prall scored Grain Valley’s lone goal in the 32nd minute.

“We knew they would be ready to play us tonight after we beat them in penalty kicks the first time,” Grain Valley coach Tyler Nichol said. “The guys played hard. Had a few freshmen step up and get some minutes for us tonight. We have a number of guys that we are just trying to get healthy for postseason at this point. We have to do a better job at now allowing goals in the first half.”
