The Van Horn girls soccer team takes a 7-11 girls soccer record into next week’s Class 2 District 14 tournament.
Camilla Neumann scored two goals and Stephanie Smith added a goal and assist to lead the Falcons to a 3-1 victory over visiting Kansas City Wyandotte (Kan.) Thursday.
“It was fun playing Wyandotte,” Van Horn coach Chris Corrie said. “They are a well-coached team.”
Two goals in the opening seven minutes ignited Van Horn to the victory.
The Falcons host Northeast at 4 p.m. Monday in a district opener.
