Maya Coen made two saves for the shutout for Truman (11-7).

“I was impressed by our play,” he said. “We gutted it out for 100 minutes of soccer. It would have been nice to get a big win over a team like that, but we played great and held our own.”
Emily Griffin scored South’s only goal in the ninth minute off an assist from Beth Landon.
RAYTOWN 4, WILLIAM CHRISMAN 1: Chelsey Fournier scored three goals and Cali Fournier one to power visiting Raytown to the Suburban Middle Seven victory.
Makenzie Erikson scored the only goal for Chrisman (6-9, 2-6) in the 47th minute.
Raytown (14-3, 6-1) played without standout Jessica Herrman, who is injured.
Chrisman was a 4-0 junior varsity winner.
COLUMBIA HICKMAN TOURNAMENT: Blue Springs South fell to Troy 2-1 and defeated Pembroke Hill 6-1 in last weekend’s tournament. A scheduled third game was rained out.

“It was a great first half for South,” coach Todd Findley said. “We had a lot of attack and possessions but could only generate one goal out of it.
Beth Landon scored two goals and Griffin, Jordan McNamara, Natalie Mandina and Grace Klausen added one each in the victory over Pembroke Hill. Voigt had two assists.
