The last two nights the Blue Springs South boys soccer team has had an offensive renaissance.

On Thursday, the Jaguars downed Raytown 4-0 just a day after thumping Pembroke Hill 7-1 in an encouraging Senior Night triumph. Those 11 goals are more than South had scored all season going into Wednesday’s match.

Against Raytown, Josh Tate registered two goals, Ben Allgeyer scored and tallied an assist and Jake Shireman also added a goal.

South (6-7) snapped a six-game losing streak against Pembroke Hill Wednesday as Tate notched a hat trick and an assist. Jared Gowan, Coby Roark, Sam Derksen and Allgeyer added the other goals.

FORT OSAGE 1, WILLIAM CHRISMAN 1: The teams were forced to settle for a Suburban Middle Seven tie at Chrisman because of the weather.

Lightning stopped the game in the 65th minute. The game was then called after two more lightning threats.

Cesar Palomino scored unassisted goal in the 13th minute for Chrisman’s lone tally. Richmond Forbis tied it for Fort Osage on a penalty kick in the 50th minute.

Chrisman moved to 4-7-1 and 1-5-1 and Fort Osage moved to 7-5-1 and 4-2-1.

The junior varsity teams battled to a scoreless tie.

GRAIN VALLEY 4, PLEASANT HILL 1: Grain Valley remained in pursuit of the Missouri River Valley Conference title with the home victory.

Jake Desselle, Michael Pellham, Theo Nichols and Trent Squires each scored a goal for the Eagles (9-6, 6-1). Jordan Snyder had two assists.
