Ed McGrane, the veteran forward who played such a key role in the Missouri Mavericks sweep of Evansville in the 2012 CHL playoffs, has signed with a club in Grenoble, France.
Mavericks coach Scott Hillman said he was surprised by the move, but said the team will still return its strongest nucleus in its three-year history.
