The Central Hockey League announced today that Missouri Mavericks forward Kellan Tochkin has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Player of the Week for the period ending Feb. 10.
Tochkin, an Abbottsford, B.C., native had multiple-point efforts in three of the Mavericks’ four games last week, helping his club to a 3-1 record. Tochkin scored four goals and had six assists on the week with a plus-5 plus/minus rating. The rookie, assigned to Missouri from the NHL’s Vancouver Canucks, has 11 goals and 14 assists in 36 games this season.
He started last week off with a goal and an assist in the Mavs’ 4-3 win over Quad City. He posted a goal and three assists in Saturday’s 5-2 win over Tulsa and had two goals and two assists in Sunday’s 6-3 win at Bloomington.
