Missouri Mavericks defenseman Jesse Perrin was suspended by the Central Hockey League for tonight’s game in Allen, Texas.

Perrin will miss tonight’s game against the Allen Americans for getting a match penalty in Tuesday’s game at Quad City in Moline, Ill. Perrin was given a major penalty for an “illegal check to the head,” according to the CHL. The CHL said Perrin’s “lack of previous discipline along with the perceived lack of intent to injure was taken into account” in the decision.

Perrin is expected to be back in uniform for Saturday’s 7:05 p.m. home game against the Tulsa Oilers. The Mavericks are giving away one diamond ring courtesy of Kennedy’s Jewelers. A few tickets remain.
