Lee’s Summit North golfer 11 strokes back in Kansas City Junior

Lee’s Summit North High School golfer McCall Christopher is 11 shots off the pace after the first day of the Lockton Kansas City Junior.
Christopher, who will be a senior at North this fall, shot a first-round 84 Tuesday in the 54-hole American Junior Golf Association event at par-72 The National Golf Club in Parkville.
She is 11 strokes behind the co-leaders, Lauren Salazar of Santa Clara, Calif., and Courtney Hooton of Del Mar, Calif.
Chloe Kittle, who will be a junior at Lee’s Summit North, shot a 92.
Jimmy Thode, a Raytown South High School golfer, shot 86 in the boys division. Blake Waller of West Des Moines, Iowa, fired a 3-under-par 69 to take a one-shot lead over Landon Lyons of Baton Rouge, La.
