It’s almost time to talk duck hunting. Missouri Department of Conservation staff will be on hand at a benefit event for nesting waterfowl 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Aug. 25 at the Platte County Fairgrounds in Tracy, Mo.

The event is free, but proceeds from some activities at the Sportsman’s Extravaganza will benefit the Save the Hens Foundation, which works to protect waterfowl nesting habitat in the Prairie Pothole Region. Activities will include an outdoor gear consignment auction, exhibits, a car show and music. For more information call 816-215-2490.
