The Blue Springs girls swimming and diving team won eight of 12 events to grab a 181-134 win over Lee’s Summit North Tuesday at the Centennial Pool-Plex.

Ashley Sturman scored a pair of victories, winning the 200-yard freestyle in 2 minutes, 2.85 seconds and the 100 freestyle in 57.85 seconds to lead Blue Springs to the win.

Lindsey Meyer (100 backstroke, 1:07.85), Alyssa Aubuchon (50 freestyle, 26.61), Corinne Rinne (100 breaststroke, 1:10.77) and diver Mariah Hagerty (218.10 points) also claimed wins for the Wildcats, who also prevailed in the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays.

Haley Hynes led Lee’s Summit North with a pair of individual wins. She topped Rinne in the 200 individual medley (2:15.26), beat teammate Felicia Bender in the 100 butterfly (1:01.65) and teamed with Bender, Jennifer Gray and Melissa Nixon for a win in the 200 freestyle relay. Karlee Benefiel also won for the Broncos, topping Blue Springs’ Liz Oles in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:43.00.
