Blue River players go six for six against Graceland JV

Metropolitan Community College-Blue River got six goals from six different players to help the Trail Blazers improve to 4-0.

Ashley Killian, Taylor Eason, Liz Risco and Jessica Satterfield all scored a goal and added an assist each to led the Trail Blazers to a 6-0 win Thursday over Graceland University’s junior varsity team in Lamoni, Iowa.

Monette Johnson and Ceci Perez added goals for MCC-Blue River, who also got assists from Truman High School graduate Kristi Blau and Catherine Barrera.

“We’re just trying to take steps to prepare for conference games,” Trail Blazers coach Brad Childers said. “It’s nice being 4-0.”

MCC-Blue River will be back in action at noon Saturday against St. Charles Community College at Truman High.
