A fast start sparked the Fort Osage girls basketball team to a victory over Liberty North on Wednesday.
Freshman Paige Bunn led the way with 16 points and 12 rebounds as the Indians downed the Eagles 55-40 at Fort Osage High School. Raven Bunn and Siera Glassford added 11 points each and Alli Ventresca totaled 10 points and three steals.
Fort (3-4) led 22-8 after the first quarter and took a comfortable 33-15 advantage into halftime.
“We got off to a good start and we played well,” Fort coach Dawn Williams said. “We shared the ball really well and got a lot of balanced scoring.”
