Liberty, MO —
Sarah Franklin, a Truman High School graduate, has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Soccer Scholar Athlete of the Year.
The junior not only earned a perfect 4.0 grade point average in the the fall semester to boost her cumulative GPA to 3.81, she led the conference in goals (16) and points (36) while leading the Cardinals to a 15-3-3 record (11-1-3 GLVC).
She was also named GLVC Offensive Player of the Year, second-team NCAA Division II All-America and second-team NSCAA Scholar All-America.
