Two days after a disappointing loss to one rival, the Oak Grove wrestling team bounced back with a rout of its other rival.
The Panthers, taking advantage of three forfeits, rolled to a 42-18 victory over host Grain Valley Thursday night. Oak Grove lost 38-37 to rival Odessa on Tuesday.
Taylor Brinegar (170 pounds) recorded the only pin for Oak Grove. Tyler Brown (126) and Anthony Barker (138) each won technical falls and Dalton Brinegar (182) recorded a major decision.
Grain Valley got a pair of pins. Dylan Wolfe (220) stopped Preston Airington and Cody Paxton (285) beat Josh Klipper. Mavrick Alexander (113) and Tyler Meredith each won decisions for the Eagles.
LEE’S SUMMIT WEST 76, TRUMAN 6: Cody Gregory (182) won by forfeit for Truman’s only points in a Suburban Middle Six loss to the Titans Thursday.
West recorded seven pins in the victory.
