As the Mavs shook a December lull by going 8-3-1, Coccimiglio tallied seven multi-point games and three two-goal outings.
Thursday, the Central Hockey League recognized those efforts by naming Coccimiglio the Sher-Wood CHL Player of the Month.
For the season, the second-year forward has 31 points in 33 games.
The Mavericks take on the Arizona Sundogs at 7:05 tonight at the Independence Events Center.
