The Blue Springs South wrestling team came in sixth in Saturday’s 12-team Columbia Hickman Tournament. Sam Hampton (113) and Christian Boyles (195) posted 7-0 records to win inidividual crowns. Cole West ended third at 285 with a 5-2 mark.
“Kind of an up and down weekend for the kids,” South coach Doug Black said. “Not particularly happy with the overall finish as a team. Pretty tough tournament going in and we see what improvements we need to make for the stretch run.”
