Both Caleb Titus (125) and Kodie Morgason (130) took third, with Morgason doing so by pin.
This round is helping the Panthers get a little breathing room over St. Joseph Benton, which went 0-3 this round.
Dylan Meisenheimer’s match at 171 is going to be huge, as he has Excelsior Springs’ Taylor Baird, who Meisenheimer has owned this year, beating him four times.
That win helps them get a spread over Excelsior, which is sitting in fourth place, a couple of points behind the Panthers.
In Class 4, Mauricio Garcia of Blue Springs dropped a tough match in the third-place match, finishing fourth.
Matt Wheaton of William Chrisman just placed sixth, falling in the fifth-place match at 160.
Langdon Wheeler of Truman (135) fittingly ended his career with a pin, placing fifth and ending his career as the winningest wrestler in Truman history, notching his 112th career win. He surpassed Jimmy Brewer, who had 111.
