4:35 p.m. -- It was a fight but Mitchell Bradley just gave Oak Grove its first state champion since 2007.
Bradley held on for a 7-6 win over Austin Roper of Kirksville in a very tight match. He held off a takedown attempt at the buzzer, nearly getting a takedown himself, to clinch the win.
That ends Oak Grove’s tournament with 106 points, seven more than last year.
In Class 4, Park Hill won at 103, beating Fort Zumwalt West.
This helps Blue Springs, as Park Hill has essentially clinched the state title and the Wildcats are fighting for second.
