1:38 p.m. -- Put Riley Glasgow’s name in there with Jake Gaston and Darrick Smith.
The Oak Grove 215-pounder became the third Panthers wrestler in four years to lose in the first round, then come all the way through the backside - winning six matches in the process - and taking third place at state.
Glasgow scored a takedown with 30 seconds left in a 1-1 third-place match on Derrick Lee of Bolivar and held on for a 3-2 win to take third.
That gives Oak Grove eight wins and 31 points this round. Not bad for four wrestlers.
It’s now up to Mitchell Bradley. I think the Panthers have essentially clinched a trophy now. But they obviously want third.
I think with Monett having a chance at three champions, that second place is out of the question. But the Panthers will have to get some help in the finals round to hold off Excelsior Springs for third.
