Missouri Tigers head coach Gary Pinkel says eight freshmen will see the field this season.
They include tight ends Andrew Jones and Michael Egnew, wide receivers Gahn McGaffie and Jerrell Jackson, offensive lineman Dan Hoch, linebacker Will Ebner, defensive lineman Jacquies Smith, and long snapper Beau Brinkley.
Representatives from several NFL teams were on hand for Tuesday’s practice, in which several players were held out of drills.
Jared Perry (mild shoulder dislocation) should be back in practice by this week. Chase Coffman (pinky finger) and Castine Bridges (leg injury) should be at full strength when the No. 6 ranked Tigers face Illinois on Aug. 30.
Wide receiver Danario Alexander (knee) is expected back by the start of conference play Oct. 4 at Nebraska.
