The Blue Springs girls soccer team is playing well at the right time.

The host Wildcats  (5-8-1) made it three consecutive victories and four in the last five matches with a 3-1 decision over Pembroke Hill on Tuesday night.

Kailey Micek scored the first Blue Springs goal in the third minute. Bailey Hensley assisted on Beka Lowery’s goal in the 74th minute. The two then reversed honors for the third goal five minutes later.

RAYTOWN 3, FORT OSAGE 1: Two late second-half goals boosted visiting Raytown to the Suburban Middle Seven victory.

“We battled,” Fort Osage coach Andrew Fletcher said. “It was a frustrating game. We had opportunities. After they scored their second goal it was tough for us.”

Mercedes Marriott gave the Indians (10-9, 5-4) a 1-0 lead in the 26th minute.

Raytown (16-3, 7-1) tied the score on Melanie Soutworth’s goal in the 36th minute. Amber Tran and Timeka O’Neal scored in the 61st and 73rd minute, respectively, to give Raytown the victory.
