As it turned out, Dylan Meisenheimer needed to score only one touchdown Friday night.
However, Meisenheimer scored three times on 55, 12 and 26 yard runs to lead Oak Grove (7-2, 1-1) to a 44-0 triumph over Clinton (0-2, 2-6) in a Class 3 District 13 game.
“This one was a good win,” Oak Grove coach Pete Carpino said. “Our defense really played well. Our offensive line played well. Their blocking helped Dylan have an outstanding game. It was a good all-around game by our team.”
Trevor Myers also got into the scoring act for the Panthers on two runs of 2 and 12 yards, respectively.
Kyle Jones scored the final Oak Grove TD on a two-yard run.
Jacob Horn booted a 25-yard field and kicked five extra points to round out the Panther scoring.

The Trojans only passed three times and all 32 players who suited up were given playing time by St. Mary’s coach John Gresham.
“We started playing our varsity out toward the end of the first half and our junior varsity played the entire second half,” Gresham said. “Our whole team played well. The offensive line really did a good job.”

“We’ll have a lot riding on next week’s game against Raytown. You can usually throw records out the window in that game. Plus they are coming off of a heartbreaking loss, (31-27 to Truman) and I look for them to be fired up.”
