Rebecca Robins scored three goals, including the game-winner in the second overtime, as the Falcons knocked off Hickman Mills 4-3 Wednesday at William Chrisman.
“The spirit of these girls is amazing,” Falcons coach Chris Corrie said. “That’s why we’re winning. We win because the girls want it so bad.”
Adriana Hernandez scored the first goal of the game for the Falcons (2-0).
WILLIAM CHRISMAN 10, RUSKIN 0: Two games down and William Chrisman has doubled its win total from last year.
Desirae Parker scored a hat trick and Mariah Wheaton added two goals as the visiting Bears improved to 2-0 on the young season with a non-conference win Wednesday.
“We were more organized in our attack than Monday,” Bears coach John Straub said. “We just need to improve our intensity on the defensive end.”
Therese Bokeid, Anna May, Kendyl Laughlin, Karly Boese and Leslie Mallinson all added goals for the Bears, who tied Ruskin 1-1 in the junior varsity game.
FORT OSAGE 3, PARK HILL 1: The Bedsworth sisters did their part in helping Fort Osage knock off Park Hill Wednesday.
Jade Bedsworth scored a pair of goals, while freshman Beth Bedsworth added the other as the Indians won in the Tiger/Bronco/Titan Invitational at Lee’s Summit North.
“It was a good game with good results,” Indians coach Andrew Fletcher said. “I was impressed with our playing. We defended well. The Bedsworths played well together.”
Beth assisted on Jade’s second goal, while Jade assisted on Beth’s goal for the Indians (1-1).
BLUE SPRINGS SOUTH 4, ST. JOSEPH CENTRAL 0: Two goals each from Megan Codilla and Kelly Voigt helped host Blue Springs South start the season with a Suburban Big Seven win.
“I was pleased with the girls tonight,” South coach Todd Findley said. “They played well as a team with aggressive, attacking soccer. We created tons of chances but were ineffective at finishing our chances. We’re a young team, and those finishes will come.”
South won the JV game, 5-0.
BLUE SPRINGS 9, O’HARA 0: Mallory Malone scored three goals, while Bailey Hensley and Chelsea Tilbury each added two as the Wildcats drubbed O’Hara in the Tiger/Bronco/Titan Invitational at Lee’s Summit West Wednesday.
“I think she needed that,” Blue Springs coach Doug McLagan said of Malone. “Hopefully she continues to score every game. We need her and Hensley. If we get those two rolling, we have a good shot.”
Kinsey Chavez and Jessica Brumble each added a goal for Blue Springs (1-1).

Haley Hayes scored the first goal in the program’s history off an assist by Nikki Rajkovacz.
“It’s a very big accompishment,” Panthers coach Jennifer Varrone said. “We kept the ball on our offensive half more. This gives the girls confidence. We’re improving, and that’s all that matters.”
