Scotty Martin almost had a perfect weekend.
The Independence driver padded his lead Saturday night in the B-modified divisional points race at Central Missouri Speedway in Warrensburg by winning his heat race and the feature event.
Before his successful run at the Warrensburg track, Martin placed second Friday night to Brad Smith of Peculiar, Mo., in the feature event at Valley Speedway in Grain Valley.
In other features at Valley Speedway, John Anderson of Omaha, Neb., finished ahead of Terry Phillips of Springfield, Mo., to claim the Midwest Latemodel Racing Association event and Herb Danner of Holden, Mo., topped the street-stock field.
Bart Hartman of Zanesville, Ohio, won the Saturday night MLRA feature at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo.
CENTRAL MISSOURI SPEEDWAY: Brett Nail of Raytown was another local driver to take the checkered flag in the Saturday night program at the Warrensburg track. Nail also won his heat race in the street-stock division.
Dave Meyer of Concordia, Mo. (A-modifieds) and Jon Binning of Warrensburg (ULMA late models) were the other feature event winners.
ADRIAN SPEEDWAY: Beau Heavelow of Independence protected his lead in the Midwest Outlaw Lightning Sprint circuit points race by winning both his heat race and the feature event Saturday night at the quarter-mile Adrian (Mo.) Speedway
Heavelow didn’t get the lead in his heat race until the next-to-last lap when he sailed by Dave Parker of Warsaw, Mo. He passed Duane Marusarz of Kansas City with three laps remaining to win the feature.
KANSAS CITY INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY: Terry Murphy of Pleasant Hill was the winner in the Pro Mod final of Outlaw Doorslammers Shootout event Saturday night at the quarter-mile dragstrip.

Austrailian driver Skip Jackson was the feature winner.
In a Thursday night program billed as Harris Clash for IMCA (International Motor Contest Association) modifieds, 183 cars in two divisions (IMCA modifieds and IMCA sportsmods) checked into the pits.
Track officials were able to stage 18 heat races and seven consolation features before rain forced the remainder of the program to be canceled.
LA RACEWAY: Jason Thompson of Concordia, Mo., (modifieds), Bryan Arnold of Sedalia, Mo. (street stocks), Mitchell Moore of Edgerton, Kan. (305 sprints) and Jacob Everts of Knob Noster, Mo. (hobby stocks) won features Friday night at the three-eighths-mile dirt track in LaMonte, Mo.
