■ MATCHUP NOTES: Tonight’s game marks the third game in the past two weeks between the Mavericks and Oilers. Missouri won both contests last week and is 4-2-1 this season against the Oilers, but the Mavericks still trail Tulsa by just one point in the standings for the fifth and final playoff spot in the Northern Conference. Tulsa defeated Wichita 5-1 Wednesday to vault back ahead of the Mavs. Forward Jeff Christian leads the Mavericks in scoring against his former team with 10 points (4 goals, 6 assists) and Tulsa’s Aaron Davis leads all scorers in the series with 11 points (4 goals, 7 assists) against the Mavericks.

The ZOOperstars! have been featured on America’s Got Talent and have been called the “fastest growing entertainment act” in the country. ■ MATCHUP NOTES: The Mavericks play host to the Wichita Thunder in the last game between the teams at Independence Events Center this season. Missouri has not lost to the Thunder this season, going 8-0-0 and outscoring the Thunder 33-9. The teams will meet one more time in Wichita on Sunday, March 14. Paul Kelly is Wichita’s leading scorer with 37 points this season but 21 of those points came with Odessa.

■ MATCHUP NOTES: The Mavericks play their third game in three days when they travel to the Dallas area to take on the defending champion Texas Brahmas in the only matchup of the season between the two teams. Mavericks forward Braden Walls played in six games this season for the Brahmas before coming to Missouri. Texas is currently in third place in the Southern Conference with 61 points, trailing Odessa (80) and Allen (74), which have already clinched playoff spots. The Brahmas have won eight of their past 11 games but have lost their last two, 1-0 to Wichita on Sunday and a 4-2 loss to Bossier-Shreveport on Tuesday. Jordan Cameron leads Texas in scoring with 50 points (17 goals, 33 assists). Their top goaltender is Brett Jaeger, who has won four of his last five to improve to 17-11-1 on the season with a 2.51 goals-against average.
