HIGHLIGHTS: Was first in the 100 meters (10.83) and second in the 200 (22.34), while anchoring the district champion 800 relay (1:29.91) and the 1,600 relay (3:24.32) at the Class 4 District 8 meet Saturday, helping the Wildcats claim a district championship. he had to run in preliminaries for both individual sprints.
COACH’S COMMENT: “I like Carlos, but I don’t know if I like Carlos in six races,” Wildcats coach Joe Cusack said. “Thank goodness he’s not going to have to run six races next week. I think we’ll see a different Carlos with only four races (at the sectional meet).”
