The 13U Frozen Ropes, a local 13U softball team, captured first place in both the Memorial Day Grand Slam on May 23 and the Buffalo Wild Wings Tournament on June 6. The Ropes are currently ranked first in the state of Missouri, first in Region 5 and second in the nation in points with the United States Sports Specialty Association (USSSA). They will be participating in the 14U World Series in Overland Park, Kan., at the end of July.
