Grain Valley Parks and Recreation

Kids Karate
(boys and girls)
Program runs 10 weeks, September through December at the Grain Valley Community Center. There are two age groups. The “Little Dragons” program caters to those from ages 3-5, while the “Beginning Karate” program is for all children older than 5. The “Little Dragons” program costs $50 per child, while the “Beginning Karate” is $65 per child. Youth Tennis
(boys and girls)
This program will have two summer sessions – one in the third and fourth weeks of June and the second in the first and second weeks of July. There are eight classes per session. Three age groups are served in the program. The Pee Wee age group is for children 6-8 years old. The Beginner class is for children 9-12 years old. The Junior/Beginner class is for those 13 and older. The sessions will take place at the Grain Valley High School tennis courts on AA Highway. The cost is $30 per child. Tween Summer
Fun Camp
Situated at the Grain Valley Community Center, this camp features two sessions, each running four weeks in June and July. The camp runs from 10 a.m. until noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays and is set up for children ages 8-12. This camp is designed to keep children busy with plenty of outdoor activities throughout the sessions. Participants are adivsed to bring comfortable clothes, as well as plenty of sunblock.
