What's new in 2008?: Improvements to the clubhouse bar area. Currently managed by Eagle Golf, which manages more than 80 golf courses in the nation. Members at Lakewood Oaks have access to all of those affiliated courses.
Lakewood Oaks history: Built in 1979, architect Jay Riviere designed a beauty of a course that is withstanding the times of the development of the game. Many additions have popped up over time, with strategically placed bunkers, newly designed greens and additional tees to allow all levels of players. Many events such as the Missouri State Amateur Association have found a home with this course, and the Kansas City Golf Association will also have an event here.
Why should I golf here?: It's more of a shot maker's golf course. It's a thinking golf course, rather than one dominated by a driver. While the course may not seem like a long course, it is very tight with trees and strategic bunkers, making for a unique golf experience.
