Country Club of Blue Springs history: The Country Club of Blue Springs was built on 115 acres in 1969 by Colonel John Davis and purchased by the membership in December 1983. The course was converted to zoysia fairways in 1992. A new pro shop operations building, turf-care facility and pool were added in 1997-98. New greens were constructed in 2002 and 2003, adding 67 new bunkers around them and converting the green turf to a modern blend of bent grass.
Why should I golf here?: It's a great atmosphere with outstanding membership. The traditional length of rounds at the Country Club of Blue Springs is around four hours in a time where many other courses are five to six hours. It's a quality golf experience in Eastern Jackson County. The course also features some of the best greens in the Kansas City area.
