General manager: Brett Plymell.
Plymell's comments: "We're making improvements every year, and we're working to continue course improvements."
What's new in 2008: Course conditions continue to improve.
History of Adams Pointe: The city-owned golf facility opened in 1998 and is run by Kemper Sports Management, which owns Rockwood and Falcon Ridge and runs Shoal Creek and Hodge Park golf courses. After a highly successful debut, Adams Pointe changed from Bermuda to bent grass and started a push to get golfers to try the course again.
Why should I golf here: Adams Pointe has established itself as a premier course in the Kansas City area. Tee Times Golf Guide recently ranked Adams Pointe a 5-star course . There are only six public 5-star courses on the Missouri side. The course has a challenging and unique layout along with some of the best bentgrass fairways and greens in the area.
While the golf industry stresses services, at the end of the day, golfers are looking for good conditions and a challenging course layout, which Adams Pointe provides.
