Following Tuesday’s water main break, East 23rd Street in Independence between Missouri 291 and R.D. Mize Road remains closed in both directions.
Road repairs are complete, but the Missouri Department of Transportation has requested the road remain closed until 7 p.m. Thursday to allow the new asphalt time to cure.
