Blue Springs, MO —
A fire late Thursday afternoon in southern Blue Springs caused minor damage to a single-family residence.
According to Eddie Saffell, an assistant chief for the Central Jackson County Fire Protection District, a fire in the 3900 block of Southwest 10th Terrace caused minor damage and some damage in the attic of the home.
Saffell said the fire was quickly contained and doused.
In addition to CJC, Prairie Township Fire Protection District and the Lotawana Fire Protection District also responded because of the heat to make sure enough crews were available, Saffell said.
No injuries were known of Thursday evening, and Saffell said a cause of the fire was unknown.
