Queen Elizabeth was hospitalized Sunday for a stomach bug, BBC News reports.

The Queen was admitted to King Edward VII Hospital, the same place Kate Middleton was treated for acute morning sickness last year.

Awards season: Which gown was best?

Queen Elizabeth first felt sick on Friday night and canceled her trip to Swansea, Wales, on Saturday. "She was not taken into the hospital immediately after feeling the symptoms," her spokesman said. "This is simply to enable doctors to better assess her."

The Queen is expected to stay in the hospital for about two days.
