Blue Springs, MO —

 Kassandra Kay Silvey and Nathan Leo Hart of Troy, Ill., were united in marriage in an afternoon ceremony June 21, 2008, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Edwardsville, Ill. Pastor Gary Galen officiated at the double-ring ceremony.

The bride, the daughter of Rick and Becki Silvey of Nashville, Ill., wore a strapless white gown with a satin fitted bodice. The gown featured a lavender beaded neckline and Basque waist, with embroidery of lavender flowers and celadon leaves flowing through the bodice to the fully gathered organza skirt. The semi-cathedral train was accented with iridescent crystal beads.

The parents of the bridegroom are Tom and Cindy Hart of Dahlgren, Ill.

The grandparents of the bride are Bud and Martha Silvey, and Roy and Janice Cary, all of Boonville, Mo., and Harold and Donna Thompson of Blue Springs. The grandparents of the groom are Helen Hart and the late Arza Hart of Dahlgren, and Ada Griesemer and the late Glen Griesemer of Lawrenceville, Ill.

Katie Silvey, sister of the bride, assisted as maid of honor, with Kristen Myers, Heather Silvey, Cyle Silvey, Amy Zentgraf, Meghan Siwecki and Jen Harre as bridesmaids. Maggie Myers was a junior bridesmaid. Duke Griesemer served as acolyte, and Emaline Hart was the scripture reader. The miniature bride was Payten Houston, and the flower girls were Taylor Gifford and Hannah Hart.

Chuck Hart and Chris Hart, brothers of the groom, served as best men, with Shawn Griesemer, Jimmy Bowling, Jeff Bowling, Derek Bowling and Corey Phillips as groomsmen. Trenton Gifford was a junior groomsman, with Dustin Bulen, Brandon Bulen, Zach Huckabey and Jake Kobus as ushers. The miniature groom was Tyler Gifford, and the ring bearers were Tanner Houston and Hayden Hart.

The dinner and dance reception was held at the American Legion in Collinsville, Ill.

The bride, a 2004 graduate of Nashville High School, is a 2008 graduate of SIU Edwardsville with a bachelor’s degree in accountancy. She is in the management training program at Kohl’s in Edwardsville.

The groom, a 1999 graduate of McLeansboro High School, graduated from Rend Lake College in 2001 with an associate’s degree, and from SIU Edwardsville in 2006 with a degree in construction management, and a minor in business administration. He is a project engineer with the Tarlton Corp. in St. Louis.

After a honeymoon in Denver, Mr. and Mrs. Hart are at home in Troy.
