Teresa Spry of Polo, Mo., became the bride of Anthony Stark of Independence, in an outdoor wedding May 17, 2008, at the bride’s grandparents home in Polo. Gary Zimmerman, great-uncle of the bride, officiated at the double-ring ceremony.
The bride, the daughter of Russell and Beth Spry of Polo, wore a strapless ivory gown, trimmed in candy apple red.
The parents of the bridegroom are Beckie Stark of Independence, and the late Chuck Stark.
The bride is the granddaughter of Lloyd and Betty Spry of Polo, and Robert Bears of Breckenridge, Mo., and Cleo Beale of Independence is the grandmother of the groom.
Maegan Jones assisted the bride as maid of honor, with Jenny Hindman as bridesmaid. Hunter Spry, son of the bride, was ring bearer.
Cody Stark, brother of the groom, served as best man, with Cole Shatt as groomsman. Brian Spry, brother of the bride, and Jeff Shoemaker were ushers.
The reception was held in Polo.
The bride, a 2002 graduate of Polo High School, is employed at Liberty Hospital.
The bridegroom, a 2002 graduate of Fort Osage High School, received an associate’s degree from Blue River Community College and attended Central Missouri State University, Warrensburg. Anthony is employed at the Independence Costco.
After a honeymoon in Las Vegas, Mr. and Mrs. Stark are at home in Excelsior Springs.
