McCray – Stivers
Roxann McCray of Independence became the bride of Jordan Stivers of Grain Valley in an afternoon ceremony April 19, 2008, at Faith United Methodist Church. Bishop Mike Ortiz officiated at the double-ring ceremony.
The bride, the daughter of Art McCray of Kansas City, wore a white full-length gown, with black sash around the waist, and buttons lining the zipper.
The parents of the bridegroom are Gary and Dianne Stivers of Grain Valley.
Crissy Smith assisted the bride as matron of honor, with Devin McCray, Brandy Lister and Jerrica Cranford as bridesmaids. Hunter Smith, Landon Smith and Creed Cranford were ring bearers, with Adia and Sage Cranford as flower girls.
David Stivers served as best man, with David Davis, Kyle Stevens and Grant Stivers as groomsmen. Josh Green and Doug Smith were ushers.
The reception was held at the Grain Valley Community Center.
The bride, a 2004 graduate of Platte County High School, is employed by Children’s International in Kansas City.
The bridegroom, a 2003 graduate of Fort Osage High School, graduated in 2006 from the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg. He is employed by the Independence Police Department.
After a honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico, Mr. and Mrs. Stivers are at home in Independence.
