Formerly of Independence and Buckner, Michael and Valerie Muller, and Perry Jean “P.J.” Purdy of Lowry City, Mo., celebrated the marriage of their children, Vanessa Wolfe-Muller and Thomas McDonald on May 24, 2008, at the Lowry City Civic Center. The Rev. Jim Brack officiated at the double-ring ceremony.
The bride, given away by her father and grandfather, is the granddaughter of Ralph and Joyce Wolfe of Deepwater, Donna Frohm of Holden, William Muller of Lowry City, and Lloyd and Nellie of Napoleon. She wore an ivory gown with ivory lace overlay. The gown featured a pink waistband, a V-neck with lace shoulder straps and a three-foot train.
April Pemberton assisted the bride as maid of honor, with Shandi Gillespie as bridesmaid. Nicolas Carey (Wolfe) was ring bearer, with Daryl Ann and Haley Wolfe, and Savannah Carey (Wolfe) as flower girls.
Dustin Bailey served as best man, with Paul McDonald, brother of the groom, as groomsman.
The reception was held at the Civic Center, formerly the old grade school.
The bride, a 2004 graduate, is a student at Sedalia (State Fair) Community College. She works in food service.
The bridegroom received his GED, and began basic training for the National Guard at Fort Benning, Ga.
After a honeymoon in Branson, Mo., Mr. and Mrs. McDonald are at home in Lowry City.
