To the editor:

There’s no meatier ongoing issue in Blue Springs than which Trash Service will be emptying our “Bins.”

Mayor Ross seems to have limited public debate at a recent council meeting, which to some hit a nerve,  maybe “Boss Ross” was directing the issue to the appropriate persons for now, the district council persons.

The elected district representatives need to hear from constituents about “trash services;” these elected officials are more than bumps on a log; they’re direct conduits to city policies and decisions .

I can say from personal experience your local council persons are more than happy to hear from you! Find out who your council persons are.

To me the bigger issue is the possible elimination of a business’s access to their clients and its right to conduct an unimpeded business relationship with those clients. Trash service should be a competitive private service not a revenue producer for the city or an exclusive contract for a connected private concern, we all know when an exclusive service to any city  is proposed the special interests spread there gratitude around behind the scenes.
