  • Harry Dexheimer, 91, of Blue Springs, Mo., passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013, at St. Mary’s Manor in Blue Springs.
    Funeral services will be noon Saturday, April 6, at the First United Methodist Church, 301 S.W. Woods Chapel Road, Blue Springs, MO 64015. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial in Blue Springs Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or Crossroads Hospice, 9237 Ward Pkwy., Suite 300, Kansas City, MO 64114.     Harry was born March 15, 1922, in Springfield, Ill., the son of Harry M. and Sierra Nevada (Collins) Dexheimer. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church Blue Springs. He was an Army Air Corps and Air Force Veteran of the World War II, Korean, and Viet Nam Wars, and served in the 345th Bombers Group and the 17th Bomb Wing in Korea. Harry was also a member of the Sons of the American Revolution. He was preceded in death by his wife, Inez Dexheimer on Aug. 30, 2009, a brother, Ramon Dexheimer, and sister Grace Brest.
    Survivors include son, Gregory Roy Dexheimer and wife, Kathy, of Blue Springs, Mo.; daughter, Valerie J. Harrison and husband, Roger Kim; sister, Gloria L. Louis of Springfield, Ill.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
