Ann G. Perez-Tippy, 78, of Independence, Mo., was called home on Christmas morning by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Ann’s life began on March 6, 1930, in Smithville, Texas. She was married on June 8, 1949, to Pedro V. Perez and five children were born to this union. He preceded her in death in 1980. Later in life, Ann married Ellis Tippy, who preceded her in death in 2005.

Ann is survived by five children: Bennie (Albina) Turner and husband, Jim, Independence, Mo., Jenny Bryant and husband, Perry, Kansas City, Mo., Betty Lou Haller and husband, Tim, Warsaw, Mo., Nancy Fitschen and husband, Ron, Kansas City, Mo., and Tony Perez and wife, Carol, Kansas City, Mo. Ann also has 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter, “Gracee Ann.”

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008, at Charter Funerals/Blue Ridge Chapel, 5000 Blue Ridge Cutoff, with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery. Pall bearers will be Ann’s grandsons, Joe Perez, Tom Coin, Pedro Turner, Brian Benz, Mikey Benz and Anthony Perez. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel. Kindly omit flowers.
