N. Frederick Cool, 80, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2008, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma.

He was the only child of Neville A. and Ruth Cool, born June 1, 1928. On May 27, 1949, he married Beryl Romaine Lafferty in Lamoni, Iowa.

He founded the Temple Organ Company in 1953 in Independence, Missouri, and built 145 church organs during his career, the last twenty-five years of which were in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his seven children, Joy Cool, Silver Spring, MD, David (Becky) Cool, St. Joseph, MO, Glory Cool Daniels, Los Lunas, NM, Mikel (Lisa) Cool, Higginsville, MO, Grace (Greg) Benson, Pauls Valley, OK, John (Pam) Cool, St. Joseph, MO, and Paul Cool, Amity, MO. There are twenty grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Other survivors include a half-brother, Randy Schoch, and three half-sisters, Joan Ronan, Sandra Petty, and Ruth Forese.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 3, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at The Stone Church in Independence, Missouri.
