A 23-year-old Oak Grove man has been charged with first-degree involuntary manslaughter in the shooting death of a man at a house party last weekend.

Luke R. Malcolm was charged with the manslaughter count and also armed criminal action. Both are felonies.

A judge set Malcolm’s bond at $30,000 or 10 percent on the stipulation that he have no contact with the victim’s family.

Brady Lowery was shot in the head late Jan. 22 at a home on the 1300 block of S.E. Austin St. He later died at an area hospital. Lowery was accidentally shot while another person was displaying a semi-automatic handgun, according to what witnesses told police.
