To the editor:

Nov. 4 is election day, I’m certain we’ll all heave a sigh of relief when it’s over.

Do you know who is running for what office? Do you know that there are two state amendments and three propositions to vote on? Also, some precincts have local issues.

The League of Women Voters has sent Missouri Voter Guides to all the Mid-Continent Public Libraries in Eastern Jackson County. The LWV is non-partisan, and these guides are yours to study, so you will be an informed voter.

A huge turnout is expected on Election Day, so go prepared so you will be able to get in and out of the voting booth in good time. If the library has run out of our voter guides, you can find information on the Election Board’s Web site at jceb.co.jackson.mo.us. Next, click on election information and then click on sample ballots. You may also find the Missouri Voters Guide on our Web site at www.lwvkc.org.

Be an informed voter and vote!
