Jon Calfas, a Truman High School graduate, was named the only Blue River player named the NJCAA Region 16 All-Region first team.

The Metropolitan Community College-Blue River men’s soccer team ended a successful season with a 4-1 loss to seventh-ranked Jefferson College in the semifinals of the National Junior College Athletic Association Region 16 Championships last Friday.
Jon Calfas, a Truman High School graduate, was named the only Blue River player named the NJCAA Region 16 All-Region first team. The Trail Blazers sophomore forward garnered the fourth most points in the voting by the region’s coaches. His teammate, Michael Brennan, an Oak Park High School graduate who scored the lone goal against Jefferson, was a second-team selection.
