  • Someone bought a $4.2 million Lotto ticket in Independence, and the Missouri Lottery is trying to find that winner.
A Lotto ticket for the Jan. 22 drawing matched all six numbers drawn – 27, 28, 29, 30, 34 and 44 – to win the  jackpot.
The ticket was sold at the Price Chopper at 16611 E. 23rd St., May Scheve Reardon, executive director for the Missouri Lottery reported in a news release.
“If you are the lucky player holding that winning ticket, we want you to sign the back and put it in a safe place until you can bring it to a Lottery office to claim your $4.2 million prize,” she said.
Lotto winners have 180 days from the drawing to claim their prize. Saturday’s winner has until July 21.
