Shelley Sue Bryan died May 22, 2009.
Shelley Sue Bryan, 56, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away at her home on Friday, May 22nd.
Shelley was born on August 23rd, 1952 in Raytown, Missouri to Jackie and Everett Stewart. She was an employee of AT&T, the FBI, and Shook, Hardy and Bacon. She moved to the Chicago area in 1978 after she married Robert Bryan and where she attended Indiana College of Commerce. She returned to the Kansas City area in 1982 and lived in Olathe from 1982-1988. During that time she attended Johnson County CC and worked at Saks Fifth Avenue. In 1988 she relocated to Blue Springs and attended CMU. She graduated from CMU with Summa Cum Laude honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in dietetics in 1992. She completed her internship at KU Medical Center a year later. For the past 16 years, she was employed by Higginsville Habilitation Center in Higginsville, Missouri as a dietician.
Shelley is survived by her husband of 30 years, Bob Bryan of Blue Springs, sons Steve and Tim of Blue Springs, Jackie Stark her mother and Harold Stark her stepfather of Blue Springs, a sister, Marsha Steward of Portland, Oregon, and a brother Steve Steward and Sara Stewart his wife of Blue Springs.
Shelley loved animals especially miniature schnauzers and horses. Donations to the Humane Society or the local animal shelters in her name are appreciated.
Services will be held at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 26th, 2009. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm with a funeral Mass to follow. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery, 83rd and Quivera, Lenexa, KS on Wednesday, May 27th at 12 noon. Arrangements entrusted to Meyers Funeral Chapel, Blue Springs, 816.259.3276.
