HIGHLIGHTS: The Wildcats heavyweight made the most of his first opportunity wrestling with the varsity squad, going a perfect 7-0 to claim the title in his weight class over the weekend in the tough Winnetonka Tournament that also feature top-ranked Park Hill.
COMMENT: “I think it was a great thing for him and the team,” Wildcats coach Mike Hagerty said. “We needed something from the heavyweight position to push us over the top. This was his first opportunity to step up in a varsity role and it did it in a (major way).”
